What happens when you do not ask for permission to use the IP of The E-Waste Column?
Copyright infringements and misuses of the IP of The E-Waste Column, The E-Waste Newsletter, The E-Waste Blog, The E-Waste Database, The E-Waste Podcast, The E-Waste Learning Hub, or this website will be prosecuted in a court of law by Palsa & Pulk B.V. and/or our writers. Therefore, please make sure you have a contractual license from us or can validly make use of the "fair use" doctrine before using our IP.

Why does The E-Waste Column protect and enforce its IP rights?
At The E-Waste Column, we protect our IP because we do not want our content to be used in ways that derivate from the intention of its creators or the goals of our broader initiative. As a concrete example of this, we do not want to see our content being used for greenwashing, social washing, or to create divisions and spur up hate within society. Beyond this, we also enforce our copyrights and other IP rights because we do not accept our IP being used for commercial purposes, if this does not benefit The E-Waste Column in any meaningful way (as could be the case through the payment of a license fee or the conclusion of a mutually beneficial partnership). In line with this, our copyrighted materials and IP may only be used when the use has been explicitly authorized in writing by us or when a fair use case exists.​
